Hello, I am Amber Raffeld, IMFT, SEP (she/her/hers). I provide individual, couple, ethical non-monogamy, polycule, family and non-traditional family mental health services. Specializing in Somatic Experiencing, NeuroAffective Relational Model, LGBTQIA+, kink, consensual non-monogamy, accumulated stress, attachment, communication, and complex and developmental trauma.
I am deeply committed to a path of personal exploration, recognition of my privilege, and continual education that enables me to provide a non-judgmental, current, knowledgable, and unbiased space for all. I invite shared information and experience, as the uniqueness of each individual contributes to a greater personal and collective knowledge.
I received a Bachelor’s of Art Therapy from Capital University, and a Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Sofia University. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, utilizing a body-oriented therapeutic model for healing trauma and accumulated stress. My approach is client centered, collaborative, and experiential, with interest in development and attachment. I have a laid back and friendly personality, welcoming of all experiences and desires for exploration.
My professional affiliations include the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Queer and Trans Advocacy Network and Somatic Experiencing International. I am also a member of the Inclusive Therapists and The Safe Zone Project communities.
Innate Healing Psychotherapy is based in Columbus, Ohio, located on indigenous ancestral territory of the Shawnee, Miami, and Lenape nations, which compels me to continue learning about the treaties of the territory and the nations that should have jurisdiction.
